I was in Belize, I had the pleasure of getting to know the Euceda family. They are a beautiful family with three strong and amazing daughters, living in the Belmopan area. On October 1, 2012, Rebecca Euceda was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. What started as a Wilms tumor has now spread to her right kidney, her liver, and both of her lungs. Fortunately for this eight-year-old little girl, her condition can be treated, but sadly the costs are too much for the family.
*Update 10/8: Rebecca is in Mexico, receiving treatment. She is in pain, but they are managing it, and she is starting chemo tomorrow. It will be a long battle for Rebecca, and she needs our help.
As you can imagine, treatment (which will include chemotherapy and possibly radiation and surgery) is extremely costly. Additionally, Rebecca, her mother, and Miss Tuty (Children of Hope Foundation) will have to travel back and forth to Mexico to see doctors who can help her. Travel costs will include food and lodging, as well as gasoline, which is currently around $7.50 a gallon US in Belize. Rebecca's family is not able to afford the medical bills alone, and money should not be a concern for a family living with cancer. Please help Rebecca get the treatment she needs by donating securely through Paypal. 100% of the money given will go directly to Rebecca's family to help with medical and travel costs. $1 in the United States is $2 in Belize, which means your donation will go twice as far! No amount is too small!
